1786 The Egeblad Extension Pattern
"This pattern is an adaptation of the 'Egeblad', an original pattern by Christine Duchrow from The Knitted Lace of Christine Duchrow Volume V, courtesy of Lacis Publications," says White. "Adaptation rounds are provided for size adjustment. Knitting the full pattern will produce a diameter of 66" or more, depending on gauge from yarn and needles chosen. It is suitable for use as a tablecloth, shawl, or blanket." White has gone to great trouble to make this comprehensive and surprise-free; it's an heirloom, whatever form it takes.
