You'd be forgiven for thinking that this was a Kristin Nicholas design, but actually it's the virtuoso Rose, quoting her colleague. What this designer adds is the fit. Many Classic Elite designs of the time are rectangles. Rose takes advantage of the 'one size' limitation to really tailor this piece, with angled armholes, shaped shoulders and front and back necklines, and careful outlining of the saddle sleeves. The intarsia is on both front and back, and its chart is across the whole garment but smallish-- you'll likely have to blow it up. Gauge is given over that section. Montera works fine if you don't care for mohair. An intense, masterful piece.
