Even when she's simple, she's magnetic and interesting. Neatby includes instructions for making this sweater flat, in the round, with picot cast-ons or not, optional eyelets at the stripe change points (as shown in the picture on the child), and provides hints and tips galore. There are delightful diagrams on how to successfully accomplish mattress stitch seams and perform a knitted cast-on. The sizing is generous. She allows about 5" of ease for the smallest size to fit a 6-month-old, but depending on the what you allow for, this same pattern could fit up to a 4 - 6 year old.
