This is a fabulous garment that a customer specifically requested: "I'm hoping to make a few before Christmas!"-- and it will look great in any variety of yarn. It starts with a st st upper back, with set-in armhole shaping; then you cast on some stitches for the fronts, and immediately pick up along the upper back to the middle, and work the lower back and fronts from there. None of this knitting is hard, but it's all interesting; and if you're making the vest, the only real sewing is the shoulders and lower back seam. Button loop diagram provided.
