There are many wonderful things about this design, but one of the coolest is that it works up very quickly using two strands of heavy worsted (about a 12 ply, 4 sts to 1"/2.5cm on a US9/5.5mm) together. So you can make your own tweeds and create your own custom yarns. This is a very plain fabric and silhouette, with armholes indented once and flat sleeve caps, and just one reverse st st row at the hems and cuffs as an edge treatment.
