9172 Knitted Bolero (6 months - age 7)

This is an exceptionally pretty bolero, and it's very easy to make, too. Assuming you can knit a yard or two of a garter-stitch-based lace edging (and of course you can, it's only four rows and a maximum of 6 stitches), you're away. All the pieces are worked in st st with no special edge treatment-- the lace, sewn on after the fact, takes care of that. The pattern for the flower corsage shown in the inset photo is provided, too. Set in sleeves, with shaped shoulders and back neck for a good comfy fit.
