A big, honest, straightforward, man-size, daddy bear, father-son, John Wayne kind of sweater. There's not much to say about it except that it has raglan sleeves and a V neck, with the back neck unshaped (straight). This pattern is written especially for beginners and spells out a lot of things that experienced knitters know by heart; even so, the type size is fairly large. The first 4 rows of the neckband are written out in their entirety; 'knit' and 'purl' are always spelled out. A very good place to start your knitting career.
