Here is a gorgeous, sumptuous sweater that's very easy to knit and that combines textures in a terrific way. The combination of working mohair together with a glossy ribbon is an inspired one: you've got the soft loft of the natural fibre, and the ribbon shine sets it off dramatically. The back is all st st; the only cabling is on the front. The mohair was a standard weight, about 16 sts to 4"/10cm with a US9/5.5mm needle; likewise the nylon ribbon. We think this would look fabulous with a solid mohair and perhaps a slightly variegated or semi-solid ribbon colour. Armholes are beautifully shaped, sleeves have a rull cap, shoulders are sloped, and the back neck is dipped. From Nashua Handknits Book 13, Mohair.
