Melanson's Hawkweed scarf reproduces the yellow flower of this ubiquitous plant with a stitch that demands a larger than usual needle, 4.5mm, with sock weight yarn. Each flower in the central panel is accomplished with a k2tog,k2tog-tbl, not at all difficult but certainly demanding a larger needle.
Hawkweed reproduces this wild plant's situation in a scarf with panels of eyelet mimicking roadsides containing hawkweed fields.
A not at all difficult but impressive and warm lace scarf.
