Most people adore the Lopi design sensibility, with its historic Icelandic traditions; but some folks find the unique characteristics of the Lopi yarns a touch rustic. Here is a perfect solution. These easy legwarmers are knit in the round (of course) with either a classic Nordic rose fair isle pattern or just plain stripes, with a twisted stitch rib. Since you're probably going to wear them over socks or tights or jeans, it won't matter if the yarn isn't merino-soft-- but you still get the matchless warmth and look that the Lopi yarns provide. And Lopi yarns wear really well, too, unlike some softer cousins which pill while you're thinking about them.
