9664 Sleeveless Sweater and Jacket

This is a great new silhouette that is nevertheless very easy to knit. Offered in either sweater or cardigan versions, it has a neat new crossover neckline. The sides are perfectly straight: the armbands are picked up from the drop shoulder and knit out. But there's no irritating flange-y effect because the shoulders are sloped so steeply. Otherwise, it's all sweetness and st st light, easy and relaxing to knit. And the look is relaxed and modern, too. The needle size specified for the 14 sts to 4"/10cm gauge should be a 6.5mm/US10.5.
