Here's a very pretty cardigan with a rose-patterned yoke, but with a super little twist-- the cuffs are embellished with a lacy pattern. And it's only done there; the body is begun with a 1 x 1 rib. Traditionally worked in the round, with the body joined in a circle only after the ribbing is completed. Two purl stitches are used as a steek; they're reinforced with machine stitching before cutting. A little crochet finishes the cut edges, with the buttonholes formed from little sc loops. Of course, you could work ribbed bands if you prefer that. This design is from Lopi Book 27.
