Here is the Dale of Norway imagination in a really simple drop shoulder design that's nevertheless madly attractive. These are worked in the round to the armholes, then divided for front and back; no steeking or anything complicated at all. Half of the front is worked in st st, half in reverse st st; the same is true of the back (remember you're working in the round, so you set markers to remind you where to change). One sleeve is worked in reverse st st and the other in st st--or not-- you choose; the instructions are given in the round. After assembly, you make crocheted cords and whipstitch them through the work as shown. We know, we know, the original yarn is not available any more. But the look is so good that we're making it available anyway, so pick something else that works to this very common gauge and enjoy, courtesy of Dale of Norway Book 125.
