And sometimes you just want something beautiful. Which is this piece before you-- you know it as soon as you see it. Either version-- the cardi or sweater-- is elegant and simple and magnificent at the same time. The sweater version's back is the same design as the front; the cardi appears to have two panel repeats on the back, to mirror those on the left and right fronts. In both cases, the raglan decreases are done one stitch in from the edge, for easier and neater seaming. This is investment knitting that will continue to pay dividends for years to come.
