Here Rosner offers an excellent pair of slippers in a beautiful design that would look perfectly at home on Elven feet. Knit traditionally in the round from the cuff down. You launch into the heel flap almost right away, then pick up for the gusset and worked the charted cable pattern on the instep-- finish as usual with standard toe decreasing and Kitchener stitch. There's a lovely little digression on how to create a non-slip surface on the soles, too, "that will hold up to washing"-- important!
