An Aran design in an Aran weight has immense appeal, but when rendered in the slightly-lighter DK yarn, it can achieve a delicacy that completely disarms you. So it is here. In this seasonless style and weight, you look at once completely modern and timelessly Celtic. The armholes have a very slight curve and the sleeves a slight rounded cap, but this is basically a drop shoulder. Cable panels are worked of a piece with the fronts; the back is entirely Irish moss (double seed) stitch. Cable bands continue up after the shoulders are cast off, and are sewn down to meet at the back neck.
