Hamilton is a tall, elegant, graceful woman and designs that way, too. This pattern itself mimics that aesthetic: it's spare and simple. You make the sleeves and 'skirt' of the garment in one long lacy strip, then work the upper front and back separately; these last pieces increase slightly at the shoulder to give a more defined cap. Sew pieces together and you're done. The 'skirt' gathers slightly under the bust, which is lovely; the whole effect is very poised, very serene.
