The Needle Arts Book Shop's Deja Vu patterns are characterized by profound scholarship. This pattern is a wonderful example. Scott (Ms. Purl) points out that this hat "is a simplified version of the traditional chullo", which seems hard to believe unless you've seen the real thing. 'Simplified' or not, this pattern is magnificent. Rich in detail, charts separately plotted for every different size of the same motif, earflaps charted both for 3 or 8 colours; the depth and care of this presentation is unsurpassed. The only 'sewing' is attaching the earflaps.
