Here are the finishing instructions for this marvellous sweater: "Block to measurements." That's all. Yes: top-down, no sewing. Bird has crafted a luxe and flowy beauty that sports gentle raglan shaping all the way down to the cuff (this is not the garment in which to practice semaphore). Standard top-down raglan construction applies-- increasing before and after markers; you know the drill. The cowl is picked up and knit out from the neck. And in the Glisten alpaca/silk blend, with a tiny touch of sparkle, it's a sensual feast to knit as well as wear.
