Two exquisite pieces for accomplished knitters who enjoy mixing their disciplines. That is to say, there's an unusual stitch pattern on the main body of the cardi (just a matter of making a long loop, really); fair isle (proper fair isle, with only ever two colours per row, and no carries of more than an inch); and a lovely twisty lacy border hem and cuffs. Body is worked in one piece, flat; sleeves are worked in the round except for the high caps. The whole is embellished with sequins and seed beads-- the cardi fronts are meant to be finished with velvet ribbon. Purse is knit in the round. This design is from Dale of Norway Book 116.
