Fantastically modern and European-- this piece would be at home in Milan or Mykonos. You work the rounded ribbed collar first (in the Worsted weight) in such a way that increasing alone gives the proper roundness, greater at the outside than the inside neck. Then you bind off some of those outer-ring stitches, and work down in the Sport weight from the live ones left (flat until the underarms, then in the round)-- it's ingenious. There's minimal finishing (just a bit at the armholes) and almost no sewing at all (again, armholes only). Another glorious top that makes necklaces redundant. Gauge is given for the st st body in the Sport weight only.
