Bunn is that rare expert designer who is completely at home thinking up any style of garment in either knitting or crochet. Here she found herself confronted with a soft brushed yarn and knew instantly how to make an irresistible piece-- body-conscious and abbreviated, at home almost anywhere. The lace pattern is 16 rows, with the even ones purled-- not hard. Edges are bordered in garter with a picot cast-off (just a matter of casting on extra stitches and casting them off). Snap fasteners, sewn on, secure the neat edges of the wrap. The Brushed Alpaca is gone, but was a standard heavy worsted weight knitting up to 16 sts to 4"/10cm in st st; substitutes should abound, but make sure to get gauge. From Nashua Magazine 1.
