Sensible: no patternwork or bobbles on the back (baby will be comfortable lying down); the raglan sleeves are the easiest to dress and undress a child in; and you can choose a standard crewneck or a nice conservative polo-type collar. Beautiful: the cables on fronts and sleeves form pretty soft diamonds, and there are bobbles nestled within them, like more jewels in an Aran setting. A lovely piece that will never embarrass when family photos are brought out in later years.
