It doesn't matter whether you have a specially textured yarn or a smooth plain one (though a textured or variegated one would be nice). This design is a winner in anything. It's just a cropped raglan-sleeved jacket, with straight sides and slightly belled, bracelet-length sleeves. The extraordinary thing is the front bands, which are very wide in a 2/2 rib, and fold most attractively back at the neck to expose more 2/2 rib-- a completely reversible stitch pattern and a very easy one. Whatever you wear under it (even a tee that's been mauled by crocodiles), you'll look sleek and professional and competent. Did we mention that an ambitious beginner should find it hardly any challenge at all?
