This is exactly the perfect piece to turn some mismatched casual outfit into a sleek, pulled-together look. It's practical and beautiful and comfortable, with the kind of pockets that don't call too much attention to themselves (optional, of course-- leave them out for even more sleekness but less utility). Armholes are nicely curved in, two stitches in from the edge, so you've got a good selvage from which to pick up for the bands. The shawl collar is wonderfully generous and cushy, shaped with both increases and wrapped short rows; it's done in two sections and joined at the back neck.
