Hibiscus Garden Shawl/Shawlette

Enjoy your very own Hibiscus Garden, any time of year! This fun, summery shawl features big beautiful hibiscus flowers worked in lace, and highlighted by glittering stamens worked in beads. Worked from the bottom-up and shaped with short-rows, the crescent shape of this pattern stays put however you choose to wear it. The small shawlette size is perfect for keeping off a cool summer breeze, while the large shawl size works equally well as a casual summer wrap or wrapped as a scarf while you wait for summer to return!

This pattern is presented in written and charted form for lace, and all directions are written out. This pattern requires standard lace increases and decreases, some beading, and short-rows for shaping; the lace pattern does contain “rest rows” (rows of all purl).

Finished sizes:
Small: 40 in/102 cm wide at widest point, by 15 in/38 cm deep at deepest point

Large: 80 in/203 cm wide at widest point, 20 in/51 cm deep at deepest point
