In which the transcendently lovely, 17-year-old knitter-to-be Uma Thurman wears Norah Gaughan.

The stitch patterning here basically comprises a two-stitch cable flanking panels of knit/purl laddered columns. It's very handsome and untrendy, and would suit men and women equally well. The (shaped) shoulders are a complete drop, and sleeve tops are flat. Gaughan gives an unusual bonus cast-on option. Original yarns are no longer available, but Classic Elite's Four Seasons, Lush, Renaissance, or Waterlily should give satisfactory results.
