It shimmers! It ripples! It moves and flows. This scarf is much fun to knit and wear, featuring TuTu Lamé ruffles on both sides that undulate and twinkle.
It is knit it two pieces, starting with TuTu Lamé, then adding Cotton Twirl.
Once both pieces have been knit on separate needles, it is grafted together. Grafting adds a rewarding construction element to your knitting experience. The garter stitch graft is very easy to accomplish, seamlessly connecting two halves together into an enchanting accessory.
It’s very soft and flows through your hands like shimmering ripples of water. Completely reversible, it may also be fashioned many ways. Our dear friend, Carly, models one style. Thanks!
I was pleasantly surprised with the “organic” quality of the scarf. TuTu Lamé sparkles and shimmers at the edges of the ruffled rows. Cotton Twirl is a most versatile yarn. It’s soft, has a bit of elasticity and makes a very comfortable fabric.
I hope you enjoy the pattern! The finished size is 4” wide x 66” long.
Gauge is not relevant. The garter stitch pattern will stretch.
2 circular needles are required in at least 40" lengths.
