Says Bingham of this lovely simple piece: "The tank is worked in one piece, beginning at the lower edge of the back, up and over the shoulders, and down to the lower edge of the front." Back and front necks are the same in shape and depth. All of which means that it's a neat and easy and fascinatingg little garment, but not hard to work-- and at the end, you've only got side seams to sew shut. Some negative ease is allowed-- nay, expected.
From Nashua Style 2, Easy Breezy.
