A nice classic set-in sleeve with a shawl collar is always a welcome cardigan. But shawl-collared vests are rarer. We are particularly pleased with this one, which is softly generous and warm in its turnback, and would be especially appreciated by the preemies and their caregivers, we think, as it would layer so well. This is one of those majestically simple designs that looks impeccable in any style of yarn-- variegated or not. Collar and front bands are worked all at one time, and shaped with m1's and wrapped short rows.
