This pattern exists because a stitch pattern jumped into my head, and just wouldn't leave until it became a shawl!
So Cathedral lace is the star here, with simple mesh lace and stockinette stitch as the back-up singers. This half-pi design features super-easy shaping, with results that sit beautifully on the shoulders and also wrap nicely for styling like a scarf. Lace patterns are presented in both written and charted form, and instructions for optional bead placement are included.
Gauge is not critical for this project.
(The integration of the lace patterns here is breathtaking. One's belief in the design echoes the progression of the piece; you move, top down, from simple faith to absolute wonder at what's possible in knitting and in life-- Ed.)
