These prettiest of boleros need only minor variations to look so lovely. The top two have eyelet edgings all around their perimeters; you can weave a ribbon through these and achieve the top effect, or simply use one of the eyelets in the middle for a buttonhole (white bolero, middle). The pink example simply provides and eyelet-free st st field on which to sew lingerie rosettes from a fabric store. All have picot borders sewn down on the inside of the piece. This pattern has been in print for some years; we know thousands of wee girls have made their debuts to relatives in these boleros.
