We've never seen anything exactly like these cardis, which is tragic. Look at the delicacy of the one-colour, shawl-collared version (it's easier to see the lace detail than on the brown one). Of all the prim allure... it's cropped, it's conservative, it's feminine and stand-offish and come-hither all at once. Hitchcockian, in fact-- something Grace Kelly or Eva Marie Saint might have worn. With lovely high sleeve caps, and both waist and shoulder shaping. A triumph of understatement.
