1254 Ponchos (birth - 7 years)
WEB EXCLUSIVE
There may, possibly, be an easier-to-knit design on our site, but we can't think of one offhand. It's a marvellous pattern for many reasons: it's extremely short and easy to memorize, because it's only garter stitch. It's therefore reversible, if you seam neatly enough-- always handy with babies. And if the point's in the front, then a crawling baby can't really trip herself up. If your five-year-old wants to make a garment for him- or herself, this is a great place to start. And it looks absolutely smashing in any style of yarn, perhaps the wilder the better.
