There are ample charts set up already for all the different pieces requiring them; the armholes are unshaped and make for a straight drop shoulder; and the buttonbands have two sets of instructions, depending on whether or not you're making the cardigan for girls or boys. This pattern is very thorough and written for flat knitting throughout, so as not to scare people who are intimidated by working on circular needles.
