We love the two moods shown here. In the main photo, you see the playfulness of the embroidery and how much fun it could be, and how lighthearted to wear. But in the inset photo, you see how gravely beautiful the piece really is-- like chamber music. The large soft cable panel around the shoulders (the neck is a little more generous than usual) frames the face perfectly. So much so, that this cardi gives the impression of a gown. Part-raglan sleeves are joined with the body pieces by the sewing-on of the yoke, which itself is knitted in one long strip shaped by wrapped short rows.
