Regular readers know that this is the very kind of design that makes us gibber. A traditional gansey pattern on young folk is a timeless delight, and this one is easier than many. There's no armhole shaping, so it's a drop shoulder (unsloped), but the sleeve caps are rounded. So it's really just a matter of keeping track of the knit/purl patterning on the wrong side of the work that will be an issue. The buttoned shoulder placket is featured on all sizes, not just the smallest ones.
