Sometimes you just want to escape the hurlyburly of current fashion trends and tricky techniques, and just make something adorable. This pattern offers you two adorable things: the cardi and a matching sweater (not shown). The sweater, curiously, has the lace pattern all over the body, including the sleeves, but the cardi only sports it on the front and back. No matter. Here all is ease and friendliness. Armholes and sleeve caps are slightly shaped, to avoid the bulk of a dropped shoulder; shoulders themselves are sloped.
